The Easter classic is making its yearly debut again! Deviled eggs are the ultimate spring classic that, unfortunately, get a bit of a bad wrap because of the cholesterol in the yolk. However, eggs are a great source of protein, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. In fact, eggs are thought to be one of the only naturally occurring food sources of vitamin D! There is no longer a reason to fear eggs, and this year, I’ve got a healthy recipe that you and your family will love!
The two main ingredients in these deviled eggs- besides the eggs, are mayonnaise and cajun spice seasoning. Instead of purchasing a store-bought mayonnaise, I’ve created a simple homemade one that only takes six ingredients! This tasty mayo recipe allows you to avoid the offensive, inflammation-causing oils and unnecessary added ingredients used in the store-bought.
The next ingredient is the famous cajun spice blend! Cajun spice blend adds that extra “oomph!” to deviled eggs that make them so yummy. I’ve created a homemade Cajun seasoning that will give your deviled eggs a fresh taste without added sugars and “flavors.” This Cajun spice blend is also the star of my Cajun Shrimp Skillet and can be used in tons of other dishes and snacks. Cajun spice blend is full of great flavor that will take this Easter classic to the next level!
One of the perks of this Cajun Deviled eggs recipe is that you can enjoy them even after the Easter holiday. These quick and easy, healthy snacks are perfect for breakfast and lunch. Cajun Deviled Eggs are high in fat and protein, making them one of the most perfect foods!
Don’t fear the yolk!
